The Intentional Growth Center (IGC) has developed a training opportunity for clergy who have shown an aptitude for and interest in the specialized ministry of Interim Ministers. IGC has a 28 year history of providing continuing education experiences for the work of ministry throughout the nation. The plan of deploying pastors in a succession of churches is unique to United Methodists. Some stay many years, some few. Pastors trained in the specialized work of Interim Ministry may serve many churches at a timely moment in that church’s life.
